Cross Country Race on Whiteshute Ridge – Sunday 5 January

Winchester & District AC are hosting this event:
Like last time they will plan to start the race at 9.30am and competitors are likely to be on the Ridge until just before 11am.  Temporary signs will be placed to alert other path users on the ridge, and on the day Marshals will be on hand to guide the competitors and remove any trace of the race by lunchtime on the day.  The race will cross over Badger Farm Road and proceed towards Compton Street and then return via Hurdle Way and Yew Hill skirting Olivers Battery following the path between the play park and the primary school.
Signs will be put up a week or so beforehand along the race course to notify other path users.
Please note the race is only open to affiliated club members of the CC6 league (eg Winchester & District AC, Wessex Road Runners to name a few), and unattached runners are unable to join in (although they are welcome to join Winchester & District AC which then qualifies them)
